Our Background
Black Currant Architects is a registered South African architectural firm established in 1998. Over the years, the practice has grown into a diverse, family-run studio with multidisciplinary expertise that spans architecture, interior design, furniture design, and construction project management.
Founded by Wayne Myburgh, a visionary architect, investor, and entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience, the firm has completed a wide range of projects, from boutique residential homes to complex industrial and commercial developments. Wayne’s work across South Africa and abroad, including projects for Sky News International in the UK and Century City in Cape Town, laid the foundation for Black Currant’s commitment to high-level, design-led project delivery.
